ser certification

In Scotland, the majority of construction projects will require a Building Warrant. The structural aspects of the Warrant are typically certified by an approved Certifier under the Structural Engineers Registration scheme (SER) to ensure the design complies with the Scottish Building Regulations.

We can off this service for our designs and will include it in our fee proposals, if relevant.

We can also certify designs as a third party for projects that do not have an approved Certifier.

Projects in England are not subject to SER certification but all of our designs have the same level of checking to ensure a high quality of work is maintained throughout.

STructural embodied carbon calculations

We offer detailed structural embodied carbon calculations as an add on service to our standard packages.

Embodied carbon calculations are not currently required throughout the UK as part of the Building Standards. However, these calculations can be carried out at any point in a project to identify where savings in carbon can be made.
